Excited to make 2019 one of the best years yet!!!
Happy New Year! I'm ringing in 2019 with FUN on my mind! Sure, everyone knows that a new year is all about setting out to achieve big, new, shiny goals, and those are super important, too… but, let's remember to MAKE DANCE FUN!
Excited to make 2019 one of the best years yet!!!
I'm declaring a toast! Why, you ask? Well...just because! It's been a crazy week, month and year. It's officially December! And, if we weren't already crazy, we FOR SURE are crazy now, so why not!?
Our dancers have been working hard in rehearsals in preparation for our holiday showcase. Can't wait to spread some joy this holiday season thru dance, and welcome in our families.
With a grateful heart, I would like thank our dancers who joined me at The Annual Toys For Tots Event at East Bay Grille. Your generosity will make a child's morning extra special.
xo, Miss Katie
It's Thanksgiving week and, hopefully, we are all taking some hard earned, much-deserved time off this week! During this time of gratitude, it's also a great time to take inventory on our happiness and to remember that happiness–as dancers is an inside job! Plus, it's been said that happiness is the highest form of success. So, let's clap along as if we feel like a room without a roof!
It's hard to remember when we're juggling the details of school, rehearsals and choreography and so.much.more that, somehow, we are still responsible for our own happiness. So, during this week, when you hopefully have a tiny bit of downtime to breathe and reflect, take some time to choose to be happy! Do some things that make you happy!
Cheers to a week filled with happiness and to choosing happy every day!
It’s our favorite time of year: #backtodance! And even though, admittedly, the lead up to the first week back to dance class is crazy-busy, chaotic and hectic for dance studio owners and dance teachers…it’s also super fun and exciting to hit that reset button once again!
We are so lucky to be in an industry where we basically get the chance to reinvent ourselves every year–not a lot of industries have the chance to start fresh once a year! And a new season means a clean slate where practically anything is possible…from a creative perspective, a business standpoint and even a new beginning for the dancers, too!
Students will find new artwork, lighting and other fun updates around the studio. It is important to us to set the space for a new season. It has been rewarding to see all of our happy students skipping back thru our doors.
We will continue to do our best to MAKE DANCE FUN!
Brianna is smart, funny and kind. She is one of those rare people who recognizes kindness, and always looks for opportunities to pay kindness forward. She never fails to rise to the occasion when presented with a challenge, and works through said challenges with a smile!
Bri you have a big heart. I feel priviledged to have been able to witness your growth over the years, both as a dancer and a more confident individual. You’re truly a joy to work with…
I am completely and totally proud of you! We wish you all the best during your next chapter at Bridgwater State. I know you will have the same joyous impact you’ve had on us with anyone you meet along the way!
To me you have always been Duffy. I lovingly began calling you by your last name the first week you started dance, and I guess it stuck.
Our beautiful blonde dancing barbie.
Over the years we all quickly learned not to underestimate your quiet demeanor. It was a clear unwavering sense of self. I hope that you carry that confidence and self motivation with you into college. It has been your personal growth that gives me the confidence that you’re deserving of every opportunity that will certainly come your way. I have enjoyed every moment over the years watching you burst out of your shell and surpise us all! Continue to push yourself, and know that I am proud of you!
You were one of the first dancers to walk into my studio thirteen years ago. It has been a blessing to have you as a student and to literally watch you grow up into the beautiful young woman you are today. WOW, how lucky am I.
Nikkie is our elite team captain and leader. She is bright, driven, confident and caring. I am thrilled for this hard working young woman whose personal drive catapulted her to reach her goals. She has so effortlessly evolved into her artistry over the years, and we can hardly wait to see what her future holds. I take pride in my role as your teacher and honored to have been a part of your journey. We love you!
Today I take more than just a moment to give thanks, love and respect to all of you.
I thank you for giving your all into this beautiful, inspiring and successful program. I thank you for the service, genuine care and friendliness you provide our students and families everyday. I am so grateful of that fact that you all take such care of our dancers. We continue to guide them to the next phase of their dancing, help them make the best choices and for always believing in them. Thank you for all the times you’ve trusted in me to be your lead. This program is thriving and inspiring because of you. I look forward to continuing to work alongside each other, to building many more memories, and to all that our TDF family creates in the future.
My Dear Olivia,
You walked into my studio ten years ago with a big smile and an even bigger bow. Today you are moving on as an artist. You showed strength, dedication, confidence, and passion. Through trust, you did things out of your comfort zone and believed in the creative process. You were always willing to take a chance. Together, we experienced a decade of magical moments.
I take pride in my role as your teacher and honored to have been a part of your journey. It was never about the awards or the wins but about the hard work and life lessons. I hope that you leave with a sense of accomplishment, pride and love. I hope that you walk taller, dance larger and continue to live your best life.
I have never grown closer to a student than and I have with Olivia. I saw you a reflection of myself. Thank you for being you. For always smiling and giving your art all that you had. You are a role model to your team and our younger dancers. You not only make me proud, but you inspire me.
Welp, The years have passed far to quickly. As you continue on this dance adventure, I will continue to be your biggest fan! To see you go after your dreams with an unwavering dedication and passion is such an amazing thing to witness.
With my whole heart, I wish you the world and I love you!
Tim Tim Tim,
Tim joined our family this past summer. From the very first moment, he was loved and welcomed by all. His playful personality and charisma made for many smiles and laughs during long studio hours. Tim, you have an amazing soul and your energy is beautiful. I will miss your positive energy the most. You’re always celebrating everyone around you. You brought a new energy and life into the studio. Our team became even closer this season and I believe that your spirit made an impact on that bond. You have proven to be a light. I will miss the love & gratitude you share.
As you move on, there will be bumps in the road, there will be disappointments, there will be obstacles to overcome. Believe in yourself, I do. Once you reach a goal in your journey, you will move onto the next. Continue to push yourself, to be the best version of you. Wherever you may go, know that I am proud of you and will always be here.
Remain focused, open and unique. Although we wish we had a bit more time with him, Tim will always be family. I am humbled that you made TDF, and all of us, a chapter in what will be an amazing, and bright future.
