Picture Week 2024
May 20th - 24th
There will be NO dance classes during this week. Dancers required to be here for their class picture. Individual pictures are optional. Please check the Picture Week Schedule for your scheduled picture day/time.

Upon arrival,
Dancers will be able to pick up tights and costumes at the front desk, if they have not yet received them.
Order forms and brochures will be available, at the studio front desk, the month prior to picture week. Parents will be able to fill out order forms in the studio's main lobby.
All forms must be directly handed to the teacher by either the dancer and or parent of the child. This is how we determine which children are having individual pictures taken. Dancers without at the start of the session will not have an individual taken.
Students will utilize Studio C as a dressing room. Only water will be permitted in the studio during Picture Week.
Please change your child in the assigned dressing area. We need to keep the restrooms open and available. Staff members and teachers will be available to assist you. Please see the site link for hair, tdf bun, make up and recital costumes for guidance.
Usage of camera's, video's and or phone camera's is strictly prohibited.
If a staff member is suspicious of photo's being taken, parents will be asked to leave. Please be respectful of our photographer.
No gentlemen or boys will be allowed into the studio beyond the front lobby during picture week. Please make arrangements to leave siblings at home.

PICTURE WEEK FAQ
Q: Does it cost anything today for my child if she/he is just sitting for a group picture?
A: No, it only costs money if you would like your child to have an individual picture taken.
Q: How much is the individual sitting fee?
A: It is $20 for your first individual picture and a $5 charge for every additional picture, with a cap of $35. This also includes any additional children as a family discount. There is no sitting fee to participate in just the class picture.
Q: Do I need to fill out a form if I am only ordering group pictures?
A: No, only if you are ordering individual shots. Otherwise you can go online to order groups.
Q: How do I order online?

Q: Why should I chose the “We Pick” option?
A: The “ We Pick” option is best if you only have one child taking pictures and only one costume, otherwise the “You Pick” option is more cost efficient.
Q: Do I have to fill out separate forms for each of my children?
A: No, just fill one form out for all of your children under “Student’s Name.”
Q: What day should I purchase the DVD for?
A: Saturday, June 14th.
The MATINEE will feature our full production. The evening recital does not include all of our recreational program and younger dancers.
Q: Does my child need to wear all of the makeup required for recital?
A: No just the TDF lipstick, either NYC retro red or NYC blue rose depending on the color of the costume. They are welcome to follow the rest of the TDF makeup guidelines but it is at the parents discretion.
Q: Do they wear tights for acro or hip-hop classes?
A: No.
Q: Do they wear earrings for hip-hop?
A: No, company students wear earrings for all company classes except hip-hop.
Q: What hairstyle?
A: Unless specified by Miss Katie all students should follow the TDF bun. Step by step instructions can be found on the TDF website.
Q: What side should the hair accessory be placed on?
A: Always on the dancer’s right side of their head, unless otherwise specified by Miss Katie.
Q: If my child is in a combo class, what costume should they put on first?
A: In a ballet/tap combo class, the ballet will go first and for a jazz/tap combo, jazz will go first.
Q: When do we receive our tights?
A: Please stop by the front desk during picture week to pick up your tights, you will receive a pink pair for ballet and a tan pair for any other dances your child is in.
Q: Can I accompany my child to help her in the dressing room?
A: Yes, however no men or brothers are allowed past the lobby.
